During his 26 years in law enforcement, Ron became a leading authority on the prevention of and response to school violence. He has a master’s degree in criminal justice, and has worked as a law enforcement trainer for over a decade during which time Ron began training both law enforcement officers and educators on strategies for recognizing potential school violence threats.

In 2010 Ron wrote “Stopping The School Shooter – The Life You Save May Be Your Own.” The book won praise from such notable authorities in the field as Colonel Dave Grossman and author John Giduck. In addition to training police and educators at law enforcement agencies, high schools and college campuses, Ron is a frequent speaker at conferences and has given presentations at the National Association of School Resource Officers annual conference, and both the Massachusetts Association of Secondary School Principals, and the Massachusetts Teachers Association annual conferences.
